THIRD BATCH OF EMPM SCHOLARSHIP FOR MYANMAR STUDENTS IS CLOSED FOR APPLICATION

Jakarta, 15 November 2024 – The European Union Mobility Programme for Myanmar (EMPM) is officially closed for the third batch of Virtual Global Opportunities (VGO) scholarships for January – July 2025. The successful candidates will be notified via email in January 2025.
The VGO scholarship provides one semester of fully funded scholarship for Myanmar students and young professionals to enhance their professional development through online micro-credentials courses and online practical work experiences (e.g. virtual internships), focusing on crucial 21st century skills and employability factors such as communication skills, self and global awareness, critical and analytical thinking, curiosity, and media and digital literacy. The scholarship scheme is part of the work of the EMPM, designed to enhance options for online learning and mobility for Myanmar students and young professionals.
The scholarship provides Myanmar nationals ranging from 18-35 years old, a fully funded, short-term (one semester) of online Micro-credential Courses or Online Internship. Having successfully implemented three batches of the VGO Scholarship, EMPM is pleased to announce the opening of the fourth batch of scholarships scheduled for next year in April 2025. Prospective applicants must first apply to our Partner Universities/Institutions to obtain a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) and then register on our platform at https://empm.education/.
Officially launched in January 2023, EMPM is a €5 million EU grant funded programme with an objective to provide Myanmar’s next generation with education and training opportunities with the specific objective to enhance options for mobility for students to the ASEAN member states. The project is implemented by a consortium of DAAD, Campus France and Nuffic. The overall aim of the program is to create educational and training opportunities for Myanmar’s next generation, with a particular focus on improving mobility options for students.
